Please e-mail me your ideas for choral literature which could help beginning directors experience success, suggestions for successful teaching strategies, etc. Think of things that would have helped you in your first year of teaching. I would like to encourage Iowa directors to send me samples of choir handbooks and your lettering systems for the new teacher packets. I would suggest 3 or 4 different examples of the handbooks most of us distribute at the beginning of the year. I have updated mine over the years as I learn what works and what doesn't and that kind of "expereince" information I think would be very helpful. Also different lettering systems that people have in place would also help.
