I have a very talented group of 7-8 graders this year, and I'd like to do a small musical, or maybe even part of one. Are there any suggestions on how I could do this within the confines of 2 45-minute rehearsals/week for about a month (4-5 weeks)? What small show (or scene) could I do with 22 kids that wouldn't be out of their reach, but would still be fun and challenging for them?

Noah,
Check out http://www.mtishows.com. This is Music Theatre International's website. They have a whole section called Broadway Junior and these are classic shows redesigned specifically for your type of situation. If you need anything else drop me an email and I will be more than happy to help.
